This beach and bush holiday combines safari game-viewing and beach activities at Saadani Safari Lodge on Tanzania's Swahili Coast, with time on the exotic island of Zanzibar. Perfect, easy to do choice for those wanting some wildlife at a wonderful, remote coastal location, followed by the exotic island of Zanzibar.
We especially like Saadani Safari Lodge which plays an important part in providing local employment with over 40% of the staff coming from the local village. The lodge supports the local village school and helps with secondary school fees as well as contributing to the Tanzania Turtle & Dugong Conservation Programme. Guests report excellent snorkelling at the Maziwe Island Marine Reserve, close to The Tides.
Fumba Beach Lodge is only 15 minutes from the capital Stone Town where you can explore the narrow street and enjoy the historical buildings, the lodge has an excellent location for various land and water activities the area has to offer and an onsite dive centre.
