Experience Highlights
- Duration: Half day
- Type: Group Experience
Within the Nahuel Huapi National Park, visit the world famous Arrayanes forest located on the Quetrihue Peninsula. A member of the myrtle family (called “quetrihue” in the mapuche language), it is known to be a bush with a beautiful saffron colour and white flowers. Here, at the Arrayanes forest in Bariloche, it is the only place in the world where the bush takes the form of a tree thus creating a magical, rare forest. Wooden walkways allow for visitors to admire the magnificent forest. Next set sail to Victoria Island, enjoy beautiful views and discover an abundance of flora and fauna. Giant sequoias, thujas, eucalyptus, pines, oaks as well as cypresses, coihues and ñires are found here, all of which are the habitat for various species, such as the pudú (the smallest deer in the world), wild boar, red deer, pheasants and countless species of birds.
