May is the transition period to the dry season in Ecuador. It's also one of the best times to visit Galápagos for wildlife experiences, with it coinciding with the start of blue-footed booby (Sula nebouxii) courtship.

The endemic creatures are the only lizard in the world which have the ability to live and forage at sea, with eleven similar subspecies found throughout different islands in the archipelago.
