Experience Highlights
- Duration: Half day
Visit the Baia de Todos os Santos / All Saints' Bay, which is not only the biggest bay in Salvador but also one of the biggest in the world. Your first stop is the Barra Lighthouse, which is considered the entrance to the bay. Stop at important historical landmarks such as the Saint Francis of Assisi church - built in the 18th Century and famous for its gold-inlaid interior and learn about the Portuguese influences upon arrival in Brazil. Finally, spend time at the Pelourinho district, which was declared a UNESCO World Monument in 1985 and is Latin America's biggest colonial complex with buildings dating back from the 16th to 18th Century.
