Rio Celeste Hike

You will be picked up at your Costa Rica hotel and driven to the Tenorio Volcano National Park, where you begin a 7km hike (approximately 4 hours) through the tropical rain forest to “Los Teñideros”. You will hike through the rainforest and along the Celeste River, where you can observe one of nature's most intriguing phenomenons. Two brooks merge together, turning clear water into a divine hue of turquoise, giving Rio Celeste its name. This chemical reaction, due to the volcanic minerals present, makes for an astounding sight that can only be experienced at this unique location.
