In the heart of Ol Pejeta Conservancy’s exclusive wilderness area, Ol Pejeta Safari Cottages provides a homely experience for your Laikipia safari holiday in Kenya.

Ol Pejeta Safari Cottages is located within a lush riverine area of Ol Pejeta, where the river winds its way around, attracting elephant herds to its grounds. Family owned and managed by celebrated industry veterans Andy and Sonja, you’re welcomed with open arms to a high-quality safari experience the moment you enter camp. Venture into Ol Pejeta and search for the lion, cheetah, leopard, rhino, elephant, giraffe, hyena and other abundant wildlife. When you arrive, chat with your guide so you can decide on activities, day trips, times and outings that suit you.

The following activities are available on a ‘Fully Inclusive Package’:

• Game drives with a private vehicle and guide (The land cruisers have roll-back canvas roofs and sliding windows).
• Bush breakfast and/or brunch (choice of cooked eggs).
• Equator sundowner.
• Spotlight night drive.
• Morning bush walks (two hours).
• Specialist bird walks with Andy.

The following optional activities require an additional cost (paid in advance or at camp):

• Visit to the Northern White Rhinos.
• Lion tracking.
• Dog tracking.
• Visit to the Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Sanctuary.
• Visit to Baraka the Black Rhino & Information Centre (you can feed Baraka).
• Horse riding.

Accommodation & Facilities

• Five Cottages.
• Three have two bedrooms (both en-suite) – Mbili (new, as of August 2024), Tatu and Inya.
• Mbili, Tatu and Inya each has its own dedicated kitchen and private chef, making them ideal if you’re travelling as a self-catering group or just want that extra touch of privacy.
• They also come with a private guide and vehicle as well as a dedicated waiter and room attendant, ensuring the highest level of exclusivity and service.
• Two have one bedroom (en-suite) – Moju Juu and Moja Chini.
• Moju Juu and Moja Chini each has a private lounge/dining room, and all rooms open out across an extensive verandah to the river and plains beyond.
• This is ideal if you’re a couple wanting a private bush escape or if you’re travelling as a small family wanting to share a room with a young child.
• Hot running water for showers.
• Sockets in rooms for charging.
