Craig’s Experience & Review
Our East Africa Travel Specialist, Craig Kaufman, visited Entim Mara Camp in late 2024.
“Entim Mara Camp is a decent option for affordable trips to the Mara. Expect reliably good service standards - guiding included - which makes it a rewarding choice in a highly competitive area.“Entim Camp is in the heart of the Masai Mara National Reserve, on the edge of riverine woodlands, and boasts lovely views of the Mara River and the Mara plains. Also, just a 15-minute drive will take you where there are high densities of game and big cats.“The camp has been designed to provide the best sightings of The Great Migration – from July to October each year, the area is full of the famously huge herds!“The spacious Luxury & Premium Tented Rooms/Suites have been thoughtfully designed to provide all the little luxuries that enhance a safari. And, the communal areas consist of a Lounge Tent and guest tent, with a fire pit not too far away. Both tents are open- fronted for guests to enjoy the spectacular views. The Lounge Tent is sumptuously furnished – there are large leather sofas and armchairs positioned around chunky coffee tables, with the odd storage chest and some wildlife artwork contributing to a ‘classic safari feel’.“The palette is very earthy and neutral, with some interestingly patterned cushions and, at night, the golden glow of lamplight. The tent also contains a small library, so it’s the perfect place to curl up with a book – assuming you can tear your eyes away from the safari scenes outside!“The dining tent is equally elegant, with separate tables laid beautifully and director’s chairs providing sufficient comfort. The fire pit is situated a few metres from both tents and is a great gathering site for both early morning beverages and evening sundowners!”
