Opened in 2017, the simple, owner-run Andasibe Lemurs Resort is situated a ten-minute drive from Andasibe village and just 15 minutes from the Andasibe park entrance. As such, it's superbly located if you're wanting to explore the protected rainforest parcels of Andasibe, Analamazaotra Forest Station, VOIMA, Marohizaha and Mantadia National Park.
The property has neat, spacious, modern and airy elevated bungalows: eight are standard and two are family bungalows.
Standard bungalows can be adapted into twin, double or triple rooms, depending on your requirements.
Each bungalow has en-suite facilities (toilet and shower with modern fittings and washbasin), ceiling fan and built-in wardrobe. Rooms have wooden floors and, while solar power is utilised, there's a backup generator to provide power 24/7. A sliding glass door opens onto a private veranda, where you can enjoy relaxing and reading or enjoying the views. Each room has a wall-mounted TV with English channels. There's also WiFi.
The restaurant serves traditional and European dishes. Food is delicious and the lodge does well when it comes to catering for special dietary requirements. We found the staff very friendly and accommodating during our visits.
There's even a massage room as well as laundry service. Visa card payments are accepted for extras.
