On a scenic seaside location at Port Sud-Est on Rodrigues Island, the property formerly known as Mourouk Ebony has undergone a complete refurbishment, with the four-star property now part of the C brand of Constance Hotels & Resorts.
The 65 light, airy and comfortably-furnished rooms all have en-suite bathrooms with a shower, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, fan, satellite TV, minibar and safe. (There are Ocean View Rooms, Family Rooms and Suites). Lots of natural and recycled materials have been utilised in the revamped design; for instance, water bottles which have been turned into lamps and tyres into planters.
The location is superb for kitesurfing, having been rated as one of the world's ten best in this regard. At Sails, the main restaurant, there are buffet meals and beach dining. The Salty Cabri Beach Shack offers informal meals and beach snacks. Wine tasting is offered in the sea. You can arrange visits to the nearby satellite islets for snorkelling. (The reef is far out from hotel). The hotel also has a Scuba Diving Centre.
