Sao Tome East Coast Experience

This full day outing gives you the opportunity to see some of the most picturesque landscapes of São Tomé. Your private guide and driver will collect you from your hotel at 08h00 (time to be confirmed locally with you). Driving along the east coast, pass by Santana, and see the islet of Santana, before continuing to the viewpoint, Água Izé. Then proceed to the Água Izé plantation house, where you can learn about the treatment process of cocoa.

Continue to the natural blowhole of Boca do Inferno and pass by Ribeira Afonso village. Then stop by at the 7 Ondas beach for a swim (weather permitting). This is followed by today's highlight for many - a ‘fusion’ lunch at São João dos Angolares plantation house, where there is a wonderful restaurant established and run by an illustrious chef. After lunch, explore Roca São João's art gallery where your guide will explain the meaning behind the artworks on display, all of which are the creations of local artists. You can also learn about how they make products such as jam and liquors - products may vary depending on the season and harvest. 

As an aside, those keen on birding can try to seek some of the island's more plentiful endemic species around the Roca.
