Tarn Country House is set in a splendid 100 acres of park-like gardens in the Whiskey Creek Nature Reserve, in the heart of the Garden Route. Between Plettenberg Bay and Nature’s Valley and just two kilometres from the spectacular coastline and sandy beaches, this is a forested area with great views of the Outeniqua Mountains, ideal for long, leisurely walks. Owners Erica and Guy are really hospitable and the cooking is first-class. Meals are very reasonably priced. You won’t want to go to Plett in the evenings, if you stay here!
Accommodation
There are nine spacious bedrooms, each named after one of the various birds in the vicinity. Sunbird, Loerie, Oriole and Dove are spacious luxury double or twin rooms with bath and separate shower; Weaver and Starling are standard doubles with a shower-over-bath arrangement; Swallow and Canary are standard twins, also with shower-over-bath; and Wagtail is a family room with a shower only. All are comfortably furnished, with the usual amenities and lovely views.
Children
Children are welcome at Tarn Country House.
