One of the first lodges inside the park, Mfuwe’s location is one of the best: its setting on an ox-bow lagoon is picturesque and the Mfuwe area is simply one of the best wildlife areas in Zambia.
Mfuwe Lodge has 18 open-plan thatched chalets, each with a private deck.
Five of the chalets are split-level, with a king-size four poster on the mezzanine and sunken bath with lagoon views below. Meals are generous and varied; facilities include a library and pool.
Mfuwe offers laid-back charm and beauty, a welcoming staff and great value. Ideally, we suggest you combine one of the smaller camps with a stay at Mfuwe, where you are literally surrounded by wildlife.
