In remote Bonkro village, this simple guest house has 5 modern en-suite rooms in bungalows, equipped with fans while the private en-suite bathrooms have showers. It was built by our exemplary Ghanaian agents, as part of their ongoing efforts towards protection of the surrounding Picathartes Forest community reserve. (Nyamebe Bepo Forest Reserve). Staying at the guest house enables you to enjoy a more authentic experience and makes a valuable contribution to the resident communities and conservation endeavours underway. Food is very good - we especially enjoyed traditional dishes during our 2024 visit.
Construction of more rooms is currently under way; the new units will have air conditioning. (October 2024 update). From the guest house, the walk to the Picathartes forest is quick and on mostly flat terrain. Take cash for extras.
