Depart Cuzco for the Sacred Valley, enjoying beautiful landscapes along the way. Arrive to the Quillarumiyoc archeological site, where you will submerge yourself in the Andean Cosmovision. Did you know the Incas had great knowledge about astronomy and that they applied those to their harvesting?
After that visit, you will continue to Tarawasi, built by order of the Inca Pachacutec as a Tambo or resting place for travellers. Them you will begin the ascent to the Chonta Communitym where you’ll enjoy the breathtaking view of the Apu Salkantay and Huamantay snowcapped mountains, rising at over 5000 metres above sea level.
Replenish your energy with a delicious box lunch, before starting the hour and a half walk towards the Condor Viewpoint, where you will have the chance to rest while waiting for the Great Apu of the Sky: The Andean Condor. This majestic creature is one of the world’s most important species and it is considered as a cultural and natural heritage of South America, seeing this bird is an experience you will never forget.
