Set on a tiny, forested islet off the northern tip of Príncipe, Bom Bom (which means ‘good good’) is a place to escape the world without giving up on comfort. The resort is reached by walking across a long wooden bridge from Principe, and its 17 en-suite bungalows have a serene and comfortable style with private verandas and air conditioning. Some are on the beach, others look towards the sea, tropical gardens or pool, and there’s a large wood-decked lounge and restaurant serving locally-caught fish and South African wines.
Excursions are designed to make the most of Príncipe’s pristine natural world, and include birdwatching, rainforest hikes, trips by pirogue to see whales and plantation tours. As the hotel is owned by HBD, making it a sister property of Sundy Praia, Roca Sundy and Omali, guests can be assured of high calibre service and comfort.
Rates at Bom Bom include accommodation, breakfast, dinner, house drinks during meals, teas, coffee, shared airport transfers, WiFi and the Conservation & Communities Contribution (CCC)
The rates do not include the 'signature excursions' which are included at its sister properties (Sundy Praia and Roca Sundy). A variety of land and water -based activities can be arranged at reception for 75 euros per person (shared/regular activities). Guests also have the opportunity to book shared boat trips (subject to availability and weather conditions), in which case the prices would be €75 per person (Bay of Needles, regular basis) and €170 per person (Northeastern Beaches with lunch included, regular basis).
Private boat trips cost more: 400 euros per boat for Bay of Needles and 600 euros per boat for North-eastern beaches.
