Itinerary

Check in for your flight to Botswana via Johannesburg.
on arrival, you will have an onward connecting flight to Maun. Here you will be assisted to your light aircraft flight to Xakanaxa airstrip, where you will meet your guide and be taken to your accommodation. This afternoon you will have your first game drive in the area on the look out for game.
Explore the Xakanaxa area of Moremi. Here you will be taken out on game drives within the reserve. Moremi is a reserve on the eastern part of the Okavango delta. It is said to be one of the best wildlife viewing areas in Africa. Here you will be restricted by the reserve rules and therefore only game drives are possible for these next few days. Wildlife that you can expect to see include, lion, leopard, elephant, endangered wild dog (painted wolf) as well as unusual antelope such as the red lechwe.
Today you will be taken out on game drives for game viewing and further exploring of the area. Keep an eye out for some of the endemic bird species of the area.
Today you will depart on a morning drive before heading to the Khwai community area with a picnic lunch enroute. This is a community managed reserve on the border of the Moremi game reserve. Here you will be taken on night drives to see the more nocturnal animals, which is an amazing experience.
Today you will have the opportunity to explore the region on different activities such as walking, mokoro and then more night drives. These activities allow you to see wildlife from a different perspective. The smaller things in the wild are often very fascinating and educational. Look at various spoor, plants, herbs and animals on the ground whilst keeping your distance from the bigger game.
Today you will have the day to explore the wilderness by drives, walks or mokoro (weather permitting) in search of wildlife, birds and flora.
Today you will be taken on your last game drive (time permitting) before being taken to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight back to Maun. From Maun you will connect to Johannesburg and on to London.
