The Lower Zambezi opens from approximately May to November, there are a few camps which stay open late into the green season, should you wish to enjoy this emerald jewel which comes to life with much few visitors, many young wildlife and afternoon thunderstorms.

Elephants often come up to the camps to enjoy the fruits from the trees, lodges are on the banks of the Zambezi River with excellent game viewing directly from your door step. The nature of the park enables you to enjoy guided safari drives in open 4WD vehicles, motor boat trips, canoeing, fishing and game walks.

Onto the next stop of the Zambezi, the spectacular Victoria Falls which can be a relaxing end to safari with hotels near the entrance of the Falls or lodges outside of town on the banks of the river offering a variety of onsite activities such a boat trips and island picnics.

Itinerary

Depart from London Heathrow on overnight flight to Lusaka via Johannesburg.
On arrival early morning, take onward morning flight to Lusaka. Arriving about lunch time you will be met and taken by light aircraft flight into the Lower Zambezi for short road transfer to Chongwe River Camp for a 4 night stay. Your stay is inclusive of all meals, local drinks, park fees and scheduled shared lodge activities. Activities include game drives, safari walks, boat cruise, canoeing and catch & release fishing.
This morning you will be transferred to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Livingstone, via Lusaka. On arrival it is a road transfer to The Royal Livingstone by Anantara Resorts which close to town for a 3 night stay. Your stay is inclusive of breakfast with easy access to the falls. Here you can enjoy an afternoon tea or a variety of activities available in Livingstone.
Road transfer to the Livingstone airport for afternoon flight to Johannesburg, to connect with return overnight flight to London Heathrow.
