Escape to your private island sanctuary on this relaxing seven-night tour just off the coast of Madagascar. At Miavana, you’re invited to rediscover your sense of wonder and excitement.

Begin your tranquil break with an exhilarating helicopter ride over the mountains, baobabs and shipwrecks dotted around the northern coastline. This grand entrance is only the start of what’s to come as you’re welcomed into paradise by Miavana’s representative, making you feel right at home.

This remote and ultra-stylish property takes luxuriousness to an entirely new level in Madagascar. The fourteen ultra-comfortable one, two and three-bedroom villas or 'guest sanctuaries' are all enormous (minimum 450 square meters), providing a wonderful castaway luxury experience.

From your beautiful base, you can either choose to relax for the rest of the adventure or partake in a range of land and water-based activities. These include jet-skiing, helicopter rides and incredible forest walks to seek some of the world's rarest primates, such as the all-black Perrier's sifakas.

Contact us for a bespoke quote if you’re planning to visit on your romantic honeymoon or want to unwind with family keen to enjoy a stay in Miavana. Or, if you’d like to combine it with visiting one of Miavana's luxurious sister properties in Zambia, then don’t hesitate to enquire or give us a call.

Itinerary

Fly from the UK to Madagascar. On arrival in your chosen airport – Nosy Be or Diego Suarez International Airport – you’ll purchase your Madagascar visa ready for the rest of your getaway. Then enjoy a warm welcome from a representative of Miavana for your helicopter transfer to the spectacular island, gazing out towards the landscapes of Madagascar below. For the next seven nights, stay in a luxury one-bedroom villa on an all-inclusive basis.
Staying at   Miavana
Miavana
Luxuriate in style at this remote, private island hideaway. One of the many activities that can be enjoyed at Miavana is kitesurfing, especially during the months when the 'varatraza' wind blows. (Best time for this is July to September). If you wish to, you can even choose to explore the spectacular underwater world – world-class scuba diving and snorkelling are possible around the vibrant reefs that surround the island, allowing you to see the array of marine species.
Staying at   Miavana
Miavana
Explore, enjoy and discover one of the most remote parts of Madagascar. In season, (ask our Travel Specialists for more details), you can observe nesting turtles, seabirds, dolphins and even take in some whale watching. Or, you can seek out one of the largest nesting tern sites in the Indian Ocean. Taking a short boat journey to Nosy Manampaho can potentially treat you to the sight of around 40,000 – 90,000 migratory birds between the months of June and October.
Staying at   Miavana
Miavana
Relax in style. Or, partake in one of the many activities on offer at Miavana. While you’re here, we highly recommend you make at least one of the helicopter excursions offered by the lodge: they have two helicopters, so do arrange these in advance of your stay if you can, to avoid disappointment. Being in Madagascar, you'd also undoubtedly want to make that eye-to-brain connection with some of our most primitive cousins, the adorable lemurs.
Staying at   Miavana
Miavana
Experience another day in paradise! Whether you want to enjoy coastal pursuits or partake in one of the wonderful excursions from this remote outpost, the world’s your oyster. If you haven’t already though, seek out the lemurs. Synonymous with the country, these primates are in evidence thanks to some translocation efforts on part of Miavana with crowned lemurs. A guided bush walk should reveal this species and other oddities like chameleons.
Staying at   Miavana
Miavana
The helicopter excursions offered at Miavana are incredible, as they can give you the opportunity to experience remote and seldom-visited areas home to some of the world's rarest and most endangered animals. One such is the range restricted golden-crowned (Tattersall's) sifaka, found only near the small town Daraina. You can also make a helicopter trip to Anjahakely. Here the critically endangered Perrier's sifaka finds sanctuary.
Staying at   Miavana
Miavana
Enjoy your final full day at glorious Miavana. The lodge has quadbikes and some excellent speedboats for you to utilise. There’s great waterskiing, paddleboarding and kayaking opportunities, too. And, for children, there's plenty on offer. Partake in the 'survivor courses' with the resident guides, who can take your children on educational excursions to the forest. Here, for instance, they can discover the world's smallest and largest chameleons.
Staying at   Miavana
Take a helicopter transfer back to Diego Suarez International Airport or Nosy Be International Airport, where you’ll be assisted with checking in for your international flight home.
