Madagascar's most luxurious property, Miavana has announced an excellent special for 2024. This particular sample itinerary is based on a seven night stay at Miavana, which entitles guests to free helicopter transfers from either Diego Suarez/Antsiranana OR Nosy Be (which has an international airport) to/from the resort, as well as one free night's stay.

Contact us for a bespoke quotation if you are planning to visit on honeymoon, or have family keen to enjoy a stay in Miavana - or, if you would like to combine it with visiting one of Miavana's luxurious sister properties in Zambia: some attractive deals are on offer.

Itinerary

On arrival in Nosy Be OR Diego Suarez International Airport off your international flight, purchase your Madagascar visa (18 euro, issued on arrival). You will be welcomed by a representative of Miavana for your helicopter transfer (1 hour from Nosy Be; 30 minutes from Diego Suarez) to Miavana. Stay 7 nights in a luxury one-bedroom villa on an all-inclusive basis.
Luxuriate in style at this remote, private island hideaway. One of the many activities that can be enjoyed at Miavana is kite-surfing, especially during the months when the 'varatraza' wind blows. (Best time for this is July to September). Those who wish, can explore the underwater world - world class scuba diving and snorkelling are possible on the vibrant reefs that surround the islands.
Explore, enjoy and discover one of the most remote parts of Madagascar. In season, (ask us for details), you can observe nesting turtles, seabirds, dolphins and even take in some Whale watching.
Relax in style, or partake in one of the many activities on offer at Miavana. While you are here, we highly recommend you make at least one of the helicopter excursions offered by the lodge: they have two helicopters, so do arrange these in advance of your stay if you can, to avoid disappointment. Being in Madagascar, you'd undoubtedly want to make that eye- to -brain connection with some of our most primitive cousins, the adorable lemurs. Synonymous with the country, these primates are in evidence thanks to some translocation efforts on the part of Miavana with Crowned lemurs. A guided bush walk should reveal not just the Crowned lemurs to you, but also other oddities including the largest and smallest of the world's chameleons, both of which are often encountered here.
Just another day in paradise...enjoy coastal pursuits, or partake in one of the wonderful excursions from this remote outpost.
Guests really enioy the helicopter excursions*** that are offered at Miavana, as these can give you the opportunity to experience some very remote and seldom-visited areas of biological interest, in which live some of the world's rarest and most endangered animals. One of these is the range restricted Golden-crowned (Tattersall's) sifaka, found only near the small town Daraina, until now tricky to access. You can also make a helicopter trip to Anjahakely, the access point for the lovely forest corridor protected area of Andrafiamena-Andavakoera. Here the critically endangered, Perrier's sifaka finds sanctuary. *** Do contact us to discuss the options on offer for these exciting excursions.
Enjoy your final full day at glorious Miavana.
Helicopter transfer back to either Diego Suarez International Airport, or to Nosy Be International Airport, where you will be assisted with checking in for your international flight out.
