At an altitude of 3800m and straddling the border between Peru and Bolivia, Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world.

It’s electric blue waters are a spectacular sight against the bright sky and snow-capped Andean mountains. Isla del Sol, the largest of the lake islands, is situated on the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca near to Copacabana.

It is said to have been the home of the Inca god Inti and now has several places of interest to visitors including a maze at Challapampa, a puma shaped rock and the 206 Inca steps.
