Thyolo, a region in southern Malawi, is dominated by vibrant tea estates overlooking the towering Mount Mulanje to the east and vast Lower Shire Valley to the west. Locals have been growing tea here since 1908, and are now producing Fair Trade tea on an international scale. You can even visit the Thyolo Forest Reserve – a haven for walkers and birdwatchers alike.
