Lake Malawi, a completely landlocked, Fresh water lake, is an African Great Lake that is between Malawi, Mozambique and Tanzania, Known as Lago Niassa in Mozambique and Lake Nyasa in Tanzania. It is the third Largest and second deepest in Africa and ninth largest in the world. Measuring approximately 365 miles North to South, 52 miles broad and 2300 ft deep.
Lake Malawi is home to more fish than any other lake and due to its isolation of other water bodies, the fish are developed and evolved differently to any other!
The lake also has over 1000 species of Orchid recorded. Lake Malawi National park is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
It offers Golden beaches and rugged landscapes as an alternative to a paradise beach holiday destination.
